Kyoko/Japan

When I was a child,

I was restlessly looking for something new. I wanted to scrutinize everything I saw. I would open any boxes if it was closed, take a wall socket apart to pieces, break some dishes displayed at a department store and have my mother apologize on behalf of me. I wanted to see a new world.

I also liked to do an  exercise. A jump rope was one of my favorite toys. I  did jump roping with my best friend before I moved to Yokohama.  I can’t remember if I cried when I said good-by to her now.

After I had moved to Yokohama, I would feel embarrassed when I read the textbook in a Japanese class, because my accent was different from that of the other classmates in Yokohama.

However, I still liked to talk with friends.  I also liked to  dance and sing. I used to ask my parents to buy me an electronic organ. After one-year negotiation, they bought me an expensive organ, which allowed me to compose music. The organ enabled me to realize what I wanted to express, even without words. I found that technology has a great possibility.
